Slavonice

Region Renaissance

The historical heart of Slavonice consists of Renaissance houses, some with original sgraffito facades. Many of the houses still have their original diamond-vaulted interiors. Below the town winds an extensive labyrinth of tunnels. Not far from Slavonice is the site of the former medieval village of Pfaffenschlag, the pilgrimage church of Montserrat, and the medieval castle of Landštejn.
